Dog Pound Wins Game One of Play-Offs

August 29, 2006

BURLINGTON,MA> Two words described this one, COMPLETE DOMINANCE. This may have been the Pound's best game ever and it couldn't have happened in a more important scenario. The Pound defeated the Black Sox easily via a 20-3 slaughter rule victory through only five innings. The game climaxed in the fourth inning where the Pound scored an all-time high 12 runs on 11 hits. The Dog Pound also got an all-time high 22 hits in this ball game.

"We brought something special to Marvin Field tonight. Everyone had that look in their eye as if they were playing their last game of their lives. It was a cold, damp night with a constant drizzle yet the weather obviously didn't affect us. Although we played great, it only counts as one victory and we must keep the momentum rolling into the next game", said Bill Tammaro after the game. Bill was quick to give a sound bite after the game, insiders believe that his insight and cooperation with the media is all part of his big plan to win over the media in an effort to be named next year's head coach.

"It's always big to win that first game on the road. The crowd was tough tonight, they did everything possible to knock us out of the game early, yet we quickly quieted them in the fourth and ultimately took that advantage away from the Black Sox. We will need all the fan support we can get, next Tuesday when we travel back home and try to win this series on our home turf", said play-off superstar Bryan Riley after the game.
