Lemelin and The Dog Pound Reach An Agreement

March 14, 2007

BURLINGTON, MA - The Daily Times Chronicle has learned that 2006 Dog Pound Team MVP Luke Lemelin will report to the team by Thursday, March 15 - the date that was mandated by  the coaching staff. Luke has led the Pound to the playoffs each of the past two seasons but the team has been unable to capture the clinching game of the first round and advance to the championship series. We caught up with Luke's teammate from his Woburn league team, Zulian Bavarez and he told us, "Things have to be different for Luke this season. He is very unhappy with what went on last season with the Dog Pound. I know that he was speaking with management about becoming the team captain, having some control over the daily line-up, and having new rookie sensation Sully carry his bat bag to each game." An unanimous source disclosed that Luke would like the team to wear jerseys with a #41 in the upper right corner to honor his years of excellence with the team however, that is unconfirmed by coaching staff or the Champlin. It remains to be seen what Dog Pound Management and Luke have agreed upon but Dog Pound Nation can breathe a sigh of relief as it looks like the slugger will sign a one year deal for the 2007 season.
