Iron Man Suffers Injury

TYNGSBORO, MA> Dog Pound Iron Man Christopher Doherty split his foot open Sunday while fishing. This is not a no joke. Who thought fishing was an unsafe sport? Majority of the world believes that fishing is a very safe leisure activity, comparable to reading a book or even piano lessons yet Chris Doherty managed to leave Flint pond in Tyngsboro with no fish, no sandal, and 7 stitches in his foot.

"I saw like the best spot. All I had to do to get there was climb down a cliff, cross the pond on a downed tree, cross four feet of quick sand, and I was there. Pickerel heaven", said Chris Doherty to the media. An eyewitness noticed he successfully conquered the first few obstacles yet the quick sand was just too much to breach.  He sunk 3 feet into quick sand and hit a sharp object on his foot immediately losing his sandal and slicing his foot like butter. "My first reaction was too laugh as he sunk three foot into mud with each step. Then he showed me the blood once he peeled away 2 inches of trash and mud from his foot. It was nasty, so Dan Doherty and I game him directions to the nearest hospital and told him to call us when he was all set. We had fishing to do, so we left it at that", said Bryan Riley.

Numerous doctors at the hospital told Chris that he can not play softball on Tuesday. "I don't care, I am going to play anyways", said Chris Doherty to the Physician's assistant at Lowell General Hospital. Only an idiot would play softball with seven stitches in their foot, yet only time will tell. If Coach Dan  Doherty decides to play the crippled outfielder on Tuesday, eyebrows will be raised. Will Chris Doherty miss his first ever Dog Pound game based on a fishing induced injury? Find out this Tuesday against Team Squid.
