The Chronicles of Lukey Being Luking
Volume 831
July 14, 2008
BURLINGTON,
MA - Star (in his own mind) shortstop Luke Lemlin was seen stopped by police
yesterday afternoon after he was observed traveling 48 in a 30MPH zone ($180
fine).
According to responding officers Lemlin could not throw out names fast enough when asked for his license and registration. One officer, who spoke on the condition of anonymity said "I haven't seen Luke since he was a toddler. I remember he used to pick his nose and eat it for fun".
This is not the first run in Lemlin has had with the law. Last season, it was reported that the Dog Pound's Assistant to the Traveling Secretary had to call in some favors on a district court level in order to save Luke from another driving mishap. According to unnamed clubhouse sources when told the incident might not be able to be taken care of Lemlin pushed the secrecaty to the ground and shouted "Do your job!!!".
If only Luke ran down the line as fast as he drives his car he may leg out some infield hits. Will this most recent incident be yet another Lemlin Distraction? Are we seeing a Primadona form before our eyes? Only time will tell.
