RILEY RESIGNS AS HEAD COACH....
BURLINGTON, MA> Last year's leader Bryan Riley stepping down as head coach of the Dog Pound. "I just want to focus on my hitting and pitching. It's all about me." said former head coach Bryan Riley.
I'm passing the throne to Dan Doherty. "I expect him to do wonderful things this year" said Bryan. Most Softball insiders agree that Bryan did a splendid job leading the untested Dog Pound to a play-off birth during their inaugural season. "It was pure coaching genius, the way (Riley) lead them toward victory" said Peter Gammons of ESPN.
"We all expect Coach Dan to lead us to 15 victories. Anything less would be pure disappointment" said a Dog Pound spokesman to the Boston Globe.
