Dog Pound Wins Second Straight

July 8, 2006

BURLINGTON, MA>Dog Pound players and fans are still soaking in their recent reversal of fortune. In the two previous games against the Black Sox, the Dog Pound found themselves on the losing end both times by one run. Yet last night was different, the Dog Pound won by one run in an exciting game that ended 12-11.

Last night's victory marked only the second time that the Pound won two straight. "I am shocked they lost a game all year. They looked great to me. I was so impressed I may invest in season tickets", said John Doherty Sr. to Mexican reporter Enrique Lopez.

The true stud of the night was shortstop Luke Lemelin. "Yeah I played well. I showed that team who's boss. Supa lata! I was like what's up dude and than I hit bombs. I saw some chicks in the crowd admiring my skills too. They were actually baby chickens yet a hook up is a hook up. This interview is beat." said Luke Lemelin to the media after the game. Luke went four for four last night and he got career hit and career run number 50 last night. The red hot Lemelin also has hit safely in 10 of his last 12 at bats. "It's not that impressive. Actually it's just whatever. Everyone should do that." said a very unimpressed Christopher Doherty.

In other news, Paul Shvartsman made his Dog Pound debut. The former A League superstar who batted .650 struggled to hit the ball out of the infield last night. Some believe the dinger he took of his head while catching may have blurred his memory of years past.

Catch the Pound this Tuesday against the Master-Batters where they will attempt to win a third straight.
