Dog Pound Routed by "Sweatfellas"
June 22, 2006
BURLINGTON, MA>The Dog Pound was simply outclassed in a match-up against a conglomeration of the C-league Sweathogs and the A-league Goodfellas at Marvin Field Wednesday night. It was a good first inning for the Dog Pound, but all went downhill after that. The Sweathogs offensive attack led by a home run and several key hits from their A-league “substitutes” proved to be too much for the struggling Dog Pound to overcome.
However the night was not a total loss. Dog Pound rookie Jon Breslin, who is already proving himself to be a role model for his pre-game routine and post-game drinking activities, hit into an unprecedented game ending double play. This play resulted in a double thirty pack owed – one for making the last out and one for getting into the double play. Despite the pound’s poor performance, they were overjoyed with the anticipation of two thirty packs for their next game.
