Billy Tammaro Declines The Dog Pound Head Coaching Job

December 4, 2006

WALTHAM, MA> A very respected and reliable Dog Pound insider told reporters on Saturday that Head Coach front runner, Bill Tammaro, had declined the offer to be Head Coach of the Dog Pound for the 2007 season. "He's still studying down in Providence to become a nurse, so he feels as though he won't have the time. Not only is he studying nursing, yet he also working part time as a nanny, waiting tables, and is coaching Field Hockey", said the same insider.

With Nurse Billy now out of picture, who will be the new head coach? Former Dog Pound skippers, Bryan Riley and Dan Doherty still are not showing any interest in returning as head coach. Luke Lemelin is showing sincere interest in the position, yet some feel hesitant to assign him in this position. "I would be willing to give Luke the opportunity. He sure has the time available and has arguable the most experience on the team. I feel as though others do not feel the same the way though", said Bryan Riley on WEEI this morning.

Technically the job still belongs to Dan Doherty until he can find a suitable replacement. Will Dan be forced to coach another season, or will a new candidate step up? Only time will tell.
